Top 20 Chicago Hits

Originally called The Big Thing, in 1967, Chicago was also known as Chicago Transit Authority, before settling on the name Chicago in 1969. Consisting of original members Robert Lamm, James Pankow, Lee Loughnane, Terry Kath, Walt Parazaider, Peter Cetera and Danny Seraphine, this jazz-oriented rock group moved to Los Angeles in the late 1960's.

Chicago first hit Billboard's weekly Top 40 charts in 1970 and continued to do so 35 times, between 1970 and 1991. Best known for their albums, Chicago had five consecutive number one albums and 25 of their 32 albums have been certified platinum. They had twenty top 10 singles and three of them went to number one.

Chicago Transit

Bass player and vocalist, Peter Cetera, has had a successful solo career since 1986, topping the charts twice and he has teamed up with Amy Grant and Cher on two top 10 singles.

The band suffered a terrible blow in 1978 when guitarist Terry Kath died at the age of 31, while playing Russian roulette.

According to their official website, Chicago has received Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award, multiple American Music Awards and they even have their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Ok here is some info for all yall who askin about this video.... The original song was called "Im wit whatever" by lil wayne juelz santana and jim jones and it was off the "Biggy duets" album. You TUBE deleted on copyright. The footage is from a DVD called "The Forgotton City" shout out to that but i think these are the best parts. The main spread is NOT done by a disgruntled CTA worker. It is done by ETHER by far the best tag in the video. The spread that is done inside of the train around the middle of the video is done by AFRO42 and he passed away. You don't see THIS everyday! 2 NYC MTA buses on the Kennedy (I-90) in CHICAGO! WTF?!

On my way home from my job at O'Hare yesterday (1/24/2012), I saw an extremely rare sight. While stopped at the Cumberalnd station, I noticed a rare bus driving by, then another just like it that read "MTA" and "New York City Bus." I then pulled out my camera and started rolling and got the first half of the video as my train departed Cumberland, then waited for the buses to pass me at the Jefferson Park station. Both of the these stations are on the CTA's Blue Line, on the O'Hare branch. HOW is it that TWO New York City MTA buses were in Chicago driving casually through the city? This was hands-down, one of the weirdest things I've ever seen, besides ghosts, haha. Given my research, these look like New Flyer C40LF buses, which were built in Winnipeg, Manitoba or Crookston and St. Cloud, MN by New Flyer Industries, which explains them traveling east on I-90 towards NYC. No Pants Subway Ride - Chicago - 2010

January 10th, 2010 - 1:00 pm At each stop on the red line train in Chicago, 5-15 passengers enter the same train from Bryn Mawr to Roosevelt, until the train is eventually packed with pantsless people that are not smiling or talking to one another. If asked why they aren't wearing pants, the pantsless must come up with a silly excuse and then continue reading or studying or listening to their iPod as if nothing were strange at all. At Roosevelt all pantsless people suddenly exit the train. This year the temperature outside was 5˚ farenheit.
